How Do You Use A Mobile Phone Recycling Comparison Site?

When selling your old phone, it makes sense to shop around to make sure you get the best price.  The easiest way to do this is by using a mobile phone recycling comparison website.

It may be that you have been reluctant to get rid of your old phones and have a number of them that you could sell.  On a comparison site, the first thing you will be asked is what the Make and Model of your old phone is.  This can be hard to remember if your phone has been sitting around in the back of a draw for months or even years!

A good trick is to remove the case from your phone.  The model name or number should be shown under your battery. Once you have this information, you can search for your old phone on the comparison site and find out which mobile phone recycling company will give you the highest price for it.  You may find that different sites give you better prices for different phones.

Once you’ve selected the mobile phone recycler, you will be redirected to their site.  What happens next varies from company to company, but you may be used for the IMEI number of your phone.  This is used by the recycler to see if the phone is registered as lost or stolen.  Some companies will ask you to provide it, others will find it for you once you’ve sent your phone off to them.   Your IMEI number is also shown underneath your battery.  It is a 15 digit number with slashes in between.
